Lumi Privacy Policy

Lumi helps you decide what to watch. This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it and how you can delete it. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

What we collect

• Account identifier: Lumi creates an anonymous Firebase Authentication identifier on first launch so your lists and daily AI allowance work without signing up.
• Sign-in details (optional): if you sign in with Google, Apple or e-mail, we receive your e-mail address and, if provided, your display name and profile photo.
• Your library and preferences: favorites, watchlist, ratings, "seen" titles, chosen language, country, time zone, the streaming services you own and notification settings. When you are signed in, your favorites and watchlist (title, type, poster, score, release date, genres, when you added it and the app language) are stored on our server so they sync across your devices and so we can tell you when a title on your watchlist becomes available or gets a new episode.
• Push notifications (app only, if you turn them on): a push token for your device, the platform (iOS or Android), the app language and your time zone. We use them to send the alerts you chose, at your local evening time for the evening pick. Turning notifications off, signing out or deleting your account removes this record.
• App usage analytics (app only): Firebase Analytics records in-app events, such as screens opened and features used, to help us improve Lumi. We do not collect the advertising identifier and we do not use analytics for advertising or tracking.
• What you ask Lumi: the text of AI recommendation requests, used to generate suggestions. We count requests per day to apply the free-tier limit.
• Pair Mode: if you pair with someone, the pairing and the taste signals needed for shared picks are visible to that person only.
• Purchases: subscription status and store transaction identifiers, provided by Apple App Store or Google Play through RevenueCat. We never see your payment card.
• Approximate country: derived from your IP address at request time to show the right streaming catalog. We do not store your IP address or precise location.

Service providers

• Google Firebase (authentication, database, Cloud Messaging for push notifications and Analytics in the app) and Vercel (hosting and server functions). On iPhone, push notifications are delivered through Apple Push Notification service.
• Google Gemini API: your recommendation request text is sent to generate suggestions.
• RevenueCat: subscription management for in-app purchases.
• The Movie Database (TMDB), JustWatch (streaming availability, through TMDB), OMDb, YouTube, Wikipedia: title information, scores, trailers and artwork. Requests to these services do not include your account data.

Why we use it

To provide recommendations and your lists, sync them across your devices, enforce the free daily AI allowance, deliver Premium features you purchased, and keep the service secure. The legal bases are performance of our service to you and our legitimate interest in operating and securing it.

Retention

We keep your data while your account exists. Daily usage counters are kept only as long as needed to apply limits. When you delete your account, your profile, lists, ratings, notifications, push device records and pairing records are deleted from our database, and your sign-in identity is removed from Firebase Authentication.

Delete your account

In the app: Profile > Delete account. On the web: see lumi.centostudios.com/delete-account.html, or e-mail contact@centostudios.com from the address linked to your account. Store subscriptions are managed and cancelled in your App Store or Google Play account settings.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, export or deletion of your data, and you can object to processing, by e-mailing us. Residents of the EU, UK and Türkiye (KVKK) may also contact their local data protection authority.

Children

Lumi is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
