Lumi Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Lumi app and website ("Lumi"). By using Lumi you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

What Lumi is

Lumi helps you decide what to watch: it shows information about movies and series, where they can be streamed, scores from several websites and AI-assisted suggestions. Lumi does not stream or sell any movie or series itself. Links to streaming services and other websites open those services, which have their own terms.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Lumi. If you are under 18, use Lumi and buy a subscription only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
• You can use Lumi without signing up. Some features, such as syncing your lists, Pair Mode and purchases, need a sign-in with Google, Apple or e-mail.
• Keep your sign-in method secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You can delete your account at any time in Profile > Delete account or as described in the Privacy Policy.

Lumi Premium subscription

• Purchase: Premium is sold as an in-app subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your store account when you confirm the purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
• Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) at the then current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• Cancel: manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your Lumi account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the end of the paid period.
• Free trial or introductory price: if one is offered, the app shows its length and the price that follows. If you do not cancel before it ends, the paid subscription starts automatically.
• Refunds: refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
• Right of withdrawal (EU, EEA and UK): the purchase is made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, so a withdrawal or refund request goes to that store and is handled under its rules. This does not limit any right you have under the consumer law of your country.
• Pair Mode: one Premium subscription covers both people in a pair. The paying person's partner gets the Premium features while the pair exists and the subscription is active. Coverage ends when the subscription ends or the pair is removed.
• Restore: use Restore purchases in the app to restore a subscription on a new device with the same store account.

AI suggestions

Some suggestions and texts are produced by an AI model. They can be wrong or incomplete. Use them as a starting point, not as facts. Free use of AI features has a daily limit.

Third-party data

• This application uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.
• Streaming availability data is provided by JustWatch.
• Scores from other websites are shown with the site's name and a link to that site. Lumi is not affiliated with or endorsed by those websites. All names and marks belong to their owners.
• Information can be out of date or differ by country. Check the streaming service before you rely on it.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Lumi: no attempts to break its security, overload it, scrape it in bulk, bypass limits or payments, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend access that breaks these rules.

Disclaimer and liability

Lumi is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we do not guarantee that it is always available, error free or that the information in it is accurate, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.

If you got Lumi from the Apple App Store

These terms are between you and Cento Studios LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Lumi or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. You may use Lumi on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. If Lumi fails to meet a warranty that applies, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Cento Studios LLC, not Apple, is responsible for any claim about Lumi, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection and intellectual property claims. You confirm that you are not located in a country under a US government embargo and are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Governing law

Cento Studios LLC is registered in Wyoming, United States. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, and disputes are brought before the courts located in Wyoming. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may also bring a claim there.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will show the new date at the top. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app.
